This is my second pair of hitchhiker highwaisted bottoms. I couldn't be happier with them. I am 5'5" with a larger booty and slimmer waist. As a kid/teen I absolutely hated wearing swimsuits because they never fit me and always rode up (awful wedgies all the time or to cover my booty enough they ended up too big and would slip and that's embarrassing especially as a teen 😂) and finally as an adult I've found my perfect fit.
The high waisted aspect is fabulous for all of the things. They don't ride up, because they're already sitting where they should be. They smooth the transition from bum-hips-waist without creating any pudges since the sides are so wide and sit above your hips. Across the front, it holds your lower belly comfortably and is flattering simply because it smooths everything out. It hits just an inch or so under your belly button. Looking head on, the sides sit a bit higher and the center (under the belly button) scoops lower and I think it makes my waist look smaller? I don't know what kind of magic it is but I dig it. When I got my first pair I basically lived in them all summer long. I felt like I looked just as good when I was on my period sitting by the river as I did when I wasn't bloated and was going hiking or kayaking. The back is the money piece with the lazer cut slits on each side! It ends up covering the top half part (kinda?) of your booty. You can either pull it up to show more of the booty or make it sit down with a bit more coverage. I have been wearing my new Plumb Lane bottoms for the past two days sitting on my porch, doing yoga, and swinging in my hammock waiting for summer days down on the lake! I plan on wearing it all summer by the lake where families are always camping and I don't feel like I would be "exposed" at all!
I hope this review helps! I feel like I've found my forever bottoms? Also, I can't tell you how in love I am with this Plumb Lane color! It's infinitely flattering even with my pale pale winter skin!
